Warranty conditions
PUMA Moldova Warranty Conditions and Product Care Rules
Please review the warranty conditions, terms of sale, and product care guidelines carefully.
This warranty certificate guarantees all consumer rights provided under the legislation of the Republic of Moldova (Law No. 105-XV dated March 13, 2003, "On Consumer Protection").
1. General Warranty Terms
-
Warranty Period: 30 calendar days from the date of purchase. Consumer complaints within this period are satisfied only in the presence of a hidden manufacturing defect (factory flaw).
-
Claim Resolution Period: Up to 14 calendar days from the date of submitting a written complaint.
-
Required Documents: Retain the cash receipt (or its copy) and the warranty card throughout the entire warranty period to submit a claim.
-
Important: Do not cut off the internal factory label from the product! Absence of this label automatically voids the warranty.
Returns and Exchanges of Non-Defective Goods
According to Law No. 105-XV, an item of proper quality can be replaced with an equivalent product or refunded within 14 calendar days, provided it has not been used, retains its consumer properties and original appearance, and proof of purchase from the seller is presented.
2. Responsibilities of the Parties
The Seller is responsible for:
-
Non-conformities and hidden manufacturing defects that existed at the time of purchase and were identified before the expiration of 30 days from the sale date.
-
Free repair, replacement with a new item, or a full refund within up to 14 days from the date of claim submission (provided repair or flaw resolution does not require excessive costs).
Conditions for accepting goods for inspection:
-
The claimed product must be submitted to the seller strictly in a clean, dry condition, free of stains.
The Seller is NOT responsible for:
-
Product non-conformities that the buyer was aware of or should have been aware of prior to purchase. The buyer forfeits the right to a claim if they fail to notify the seller of a defect within 30 days of its discovery.
-
Natural wear and tear of products and materials.
-
Mechanical damage (crushes, scratches, cuts, punctures, broken zippers).
-
Size, width, or fit incompatibility identified during wear.
-
Damage resulting from improper care, misuse, or improper washing.
-
Wear and loss of elasticity of rubber elements.
-
Damage resulting from self-repairs.
-
Structural deformations caused by excessive soaking or heavy perspiration.
In the event of legal disputes, the consumer has the right to appeal to the State Consumer Protection Agency.
3. Footwear Care Guide
Follow these guidelines to extend the lifespan of athletic footwear:
-
Sizing and Fit: Pay special attention to size and foot width when purchasing. Footwear should not pinch the foot. Incorrect sizing leads to shape deformation, seam splitting, and material cracking.
-
Seasonality and Purpose: Genuine leather footwear is not intended for wet or rainy weather as it is not waterproof. Running shoes will cause discomfort during casual daily wear, while stylish lifestyle footwear should not be used for sports.
General Operating Rules:
-
Daily Cleaning: Clean footwear of dirt and dust using a soft, damp cloth or brush, then wipe dry. Washing footwear directly submerged in water is strictly prohibited.
-
Leather Care: Apply a thin layer of shoe cream for protection and shine; polish after 3–5 minutes with a brush or woolen cloth.
-
Mechanical Loads: Avoid excessive mechanical stress, impacts, and cuts.
-
Putting On & Removing: Always use a shoehorn. Never step on the heel counter to remove shoes.
-
Moisture and Dyeing: When exposed to moisture or heavy perspiration, footwear with genuine or dyed lining may cause minor color transfer to socks inside.
-
Proper Drying: Dry footwear at room temperature, stuffed with paper or using shoe trees. Accelerating drying on radiators, with hair dryers, open flames, or other heat sources is strictly prohibited. Soaking footwear in rain/snow is considered buyer-induced deformation.
-
Maintenance: Replacing worn laces and insoles is the responsibility of the user.
Cleaning Instructions by Material:
-
Smooth & Dyed Leather: Wash with a special sponge or soft cloth with mild soap. Apply cream after drying. Machine washing and bleaches are strictly prohibited.
-
Suede & Nubuck: Gently remove dry dirt using a dedicated suede brush. Do not wash with water (it leaves stains). Remove oil stains using a specialized suede stain remover. Treat with a water-repellent spray once a month.
4. Apparel and Bag Care Guide
-
Washing and Cleaning: Wash garments strictly according to the internal care label instructions. Use high-quality detergents. Using industrial cleaning agents (washing soda or harsh chemicals) or washing above the recommended temperature is prohibited.
-
Drying: Air-dry items at room temperature only. Keep away from direct heat sources and objects that could cause burns, punctures, or scratches.
-
Bags: Designed exclusively for personal accessories and everyday items. Bags cannot be used as heavy luggage or travel duffels. Maximum allowable weight capacity is up to 3 kg.
